What is the first animal that comes into your head when you think of the sea?

The other day we set off on our tour and I sat in the back of a truck. We arrived at the reception and went to try on a snorkel and flippers, then we hopped back in and arrived next to a boat. 45 minutes later we were surrounded by rocks. We jumped off the boat and into the world of fish – I held onto the guys’ shoulder as he took me to a massive turtle!!! It was like someone had painted designs carefully onto the back of its shell. But no! They were all natural!!  We also saw sharks, penguins seahorses and loads of fish. The sharks had white tips on its tail and fin and it was hiding with two others inside a cave. I had to poke my head under to see this amazing sight! But they were only small ones.

The penguins were on a rock relaxing ! I accidentally went the wrong way and bumped into a penguin who was swimming super fast!

As we were about to leave I hopped into the water when everyone else was dry  and swam with a baby Seal – it was just twirling around underneath me and then poking its head up to get a breath of air, it was so cute!

That afternoon we went boogie boarding and that was so much fun. How strong the waves are pushing us to the shore.

At our hotel There was the coolest bar with a slack line and a volleyball court and disco music and a beach right next to it! We have been surfing every day and walking down the beach every day. I prefer ducking under the waves and reappearing on the other side!

In Santa Cruz we had our own house in a small town – one day we went to a beach called Tortuga Bay. it was a lovely place to snorkel and play with the waves. Also there were iguanas swimming with us, their tail swishing around making them swim much faster! The only problem was the horse flies, mosquitoes and sandflies. It is so hot here I have to wear a special top in the water, to stop myself from burning.
