Laos – Vang Vieng awesomeness!

In Vang Vieng (Laos) we went to a place called the Blue Lagoon which is a natural pool, a turquoise blue colour, with branches of trees that you could jump off into it and a swing that you could swing out on, let go and land in the water. I jumped off the high branch which was very scary and I think I hit the water at the wrong angle because I hurt my thighs when I landed in the water.

Above the blue lagoon you could see people zip-lining from great distances and we actually did it ourselves a couple of days later. At the start, our guide put harnesses on us and showed us how zip-lining works on a mini zip-line. We climbed up a hill and then started zip-lining. I was the first one to go. There was a hook that you hooked on to the line with two wheels but I was too short to reach so the guide had to lift me up and then clip on the safety clips. Next, the guide would hold me by the back of the harness and pull me back saying 1, 2, 3 and then he would push me down the zip line and I would land in the other guide’s arms at the other end of the zip line. It was really fun!!! When we got to the end of the first zip line the other guide clipped us off the first zip line and on to the next one. Then Gabriel and dad would come along doing exactly the same thing.

Another day we went tubing, when we sat in the inner tube from a truck tyre and floated down the river. It was really fun but after a while it got boring.
