Return to Kathmandu

Every morning when we got back to Kathmandu I got up very early to play football on the street with Norbu and Finso, Pronis my new friend and Raisin my new friend. Pronis did speak quite good English. We had a party almost at midnight, dancing to music namely Nicky Ménage, chosen by Millie and Jemima. FInso bought us gems, which are chocolates.

When we said goodbye to them we didn’t want to leave them because we were very upset, just like we were upset when we left our friends in England.

  1. Hey how are you, godson? I like the picture of you climbing up a pole like a monkey! By the time you come back you will be into eating so many different types of food – I hope you are all learning how to cook them and that we will be invited to grand dinner parties with Ethiopian starters, Goan main courses and Nepali puddings… My friend has gone to Goa to them bring Saint Xavier out of the church, which they do every 10 years. He comes out for a few jaunts with thousands and thousands of people, and then he goes back on top of his 5-metre podium for another 10 years. All fine back in England, though it’s starting to get cold for the first time this year, though not as cold as the Himalayas, I do admit. Though I am sitting writing in my flat with a rug over my knees and breathing steam, so perhaps not far off… Let me know where you will be for Christmas. Love to all, Sophie xxxxxx
