Helping to feed and muck out the horses
We are at the ranch and we have learnt so much already. Every morning we go on a ride and learn something new. After we brush them and feed them and put them away, it was such fun!
The cook Gina prepared some amazing food. One day she cooked tostadas and homemade mango ice team with chocolate and raisins flapjack! Soo good.
My horse was Cinturion and he was so good. Every time I went to get him to ride he would lift up his head so I could put on the head collar. Then I would tie him up and brush him head to toe. Then he saddle him up or sometimes not even put a saddle on him, so bare back riding!!.
Every day I would wake up early to go and help Gregorio feed the horses breakfast and lunch and dinner. Gregorio cut up the corn with a machete, and put it in a bucket and me and Gabriel would take the bucket to the horses.
One day we went to the park and bought ice creams mmm mango Solaros are so nice!!! The dog Sacha came with us and went on the roundabout! It was sad to leave but it had to be done!.
We learnt how to steer them how to turn them around 360 degrees and to make them stop and start and trot properly.
If you are going to walk behind a horse you must walk with your hand around its bottom, so then it knows it’s the same person. We were on a trek one day and we came across an open umbrella, my horse was ok but dad’s horse freaked out. Add it took a while to get his horse back on the go.
