The Tula tree
Yesterday we went to see the fattest tree in Mexico, It was 11 metres wide.!!!
We payed 10 pesos per person to go in and then our driver gave us a guide aged 9 years. He was tiny, he had a little mirror, and he shined it in the light, at a point on the tree, showing us shapes in the tree, a dolphin, an elephant, a gorilla, a deer head, a monster and he said it in English, in a funny voice like a robot. At the end he said ” You see” and we said “yes” then he said “finished “
As well yesterday we went to a place where they made and dyed tapetes. As soon as we arrived, the lady from the place got some wool and dunked it in a bucket of dye. It looked green but as soon as she took it out it turned blue!!! Then a man arrived and showed us how they make different dyes out of natural plants. First he got the skin of a pomegranate and rubbed it on a test paper, then he got some quicklime powder and it turned bright green! Then he got seeds of the pomegranate and squished it in the paper, it was purple, then he put it on powder and it turned dark green.

Bags of wool from sheep goats, .alpaca, vicuña

We went to see the church in Oaxaca nd it was full up of ladies dressed like this.

These are the colours you can dye wools.
