On Friday January 30th I went to Te Papa, the T- Rex exhibit with Mum, Zeb, Dad, and Gabriel. We walked in and we saw the giant orc from Lord of the Rings. He was really big and he had had sword for a hand. We followed the dinosaur footsteps and ended up in a big room full of dinosaur skeletons and fossils. There were little computers everywhere and you could play games about dinosaurs and do quizzes. There was one game that you had to squeeze a bar as hard as you could to see how strong you were in comparison to the dinosaurs. It was nothing compared to the dinosaurs.
My favorite game was where you had to hatch some eggs and dinosaurs would pop out and they would get bigger as they walked on the board and you had to move them to the right spot to fit the question that they asked. You put the dinosaur on the foot print and it gave you a clue of when it was born and where it was. When you won the game the big meteors came and destroyed all the dinosaurs and now, they are extinct.
In another room there was a big tv but like really big, massive. And there was a spot that you stood on and you saw yourself in the tv, but with dinosaurs everywhere in the background. You could go up and pretend to stroke them but it wasn’t real. And every now and then again a big dinosaur would come and all you would see were it’s feet it was so big.
Mum realized that we left the light on in the car and we rushed down to go and check. Dad went in the car to try and start it but it wouldn’t start. So we had to get someone to drive close to us so we could start with jumper leads. After that mum said we wouldn’t be able to go back to the rest of the exhibit if we left it running for too long it would waste down the battery again. So we went back again another time with Hilary.
