NZ – going to the Zoo

We are going to the zoo!

Hilary is Zeb and Loma and Thalia’s au pair and she is looking after us while mummy and daddy are away.

We arrived in the gates seeing all of those photos on the wall of other people’s experiences. There I was jolly excited and I think you could tell! We entered the zoo with a wide smile on all our faces (me, Gabriel, Millie and Hilary). The first animal we saw was this penguin – it looked kind of blueish and had big yellow eyes that looked like they were popping out of his head – apart from that it was super cute!! Next we saw a giraffe and I just love giraffes because of the way they eat and the way their long necks reach up to eat things and grab things from the nearest tree so elegantly! After that we went to see the lions. They looked like you could walk through a gate and go and give them a big cuddle!!!. We only saw 2 female ones but it looked like they were napping. On the way back we saw a a chimpanzee house. They were my favourite cos I just love the way they swing from rope to rope with one hand! One of them was holding  a baby chimp which was so cute! There was one child who was being very naughty and running away from his mum and wherever he went he ran passed the mum she would try to catch him but miss and then start swinging from rope to rope with one hand! 😀
