New Zealand – Mount Maunganui

We arrived in Mount Maunganui, meeting Heather and Toby and their kids, Zeb, Loma and Thalia. We were also surprised to see other people there – I met a girl called Fox, she was a couple of months younger than me and really fun to play with. This house was rented and not actually Toby and Heather’s house but for Christmas they got a massive trampoline which was really bouncy and I went in it every day. There was also a small trampoline that wasn’t as bouncy but was better than nothing. We were allowed to eat our dinner on the small one but not the big one as it was brand new.

The next day we went to a surf beach and made a sandcastle car! Gabriel and Zeb made a sandcastle which was really awesome but the car was awesome as well!  We went to the same beach the day after as well, but this time I helped Gabriel and Zeb build a sandcastle with a bridge, a moat, windows and doors, and a balcony at the top with feathers as flags and it was really epic. I didn’t go into the sea because I thought it was way too cold and the waves were like buildings smashing down on you.

Hot spring:

There were some hot springs about half an hour from where we were staying. They were really relaxing and as warm as a bath.

We stayed in a hotel in the mountains and we watched Harry Potter. The big kids slept all together in one room. There was a games room in which we played and it was $2 to play a car racing game. We thought it only had one go so we had that one go and moved onto something else but then Millie (the genius) found out that it gave us another 100 goes! Before bed, mum gave us two more dollars to spend half an hour more in the games room rather than in bed.
