Zipping zip lines

In Laos we went to a brilliant place called Vang Vieng. We went to the Blue Lagoon where you can do dives off trees and backflips and front flips. We saw how much the zip lining was and the next day we went back and did it. It wasn’t like a normal zip line with a bar that you just whoosh down. You had to have harnesses and clippers to clip onto the steel cable that is running from one tree to another with a platform running around the trees that you stand on. Then you go zooming down to the next platform. I went upsidedown with no hands looking straight back at the other platform and I spun around facing the platform I was going to. I continued doing that until I got to another platform where there was a rope leading down with a metal bar wrapped round with rope. You clip on your harness and go zooming down onto a bouncy mat. Mum was pretty terrified when she went down!

When we got back from the blue lagoon we went to the Australians hotel. They are called Sarah (the mum), Ayden, Kade, Kai the love punch (who is in love with Millie – we were arranging a marriage for them), Shayanne and Brian the granddad. The next day, we went tubing with them inside a cave with loads of stalactites. It was an amazing experience because of the water dripping down and the gaps in between the rocks. We went out because we were so wet and cold and freezing. After that we went kayaking which was very nice because we were in the sun. I was in the kayak with Kade and our guide. We stopped at off at a place with basketball, volleyball and a pool table, with hammocks.

We went to go and buy pancakes and we wanted to play football but we didn’t have a ball so we got our shirts off and stuffed it in a plastic bag, tied a knot in it and started kicking it around. It was really cool!
