On the way to the hotel in Hampi we had a great tuk-tuk race, known as the great tuk-tuk tournament of Hampi. It was girls v boys and obviously the boys won.

The great tuk-tuk tournament!
In the morning me and Dad woke up very early, it was still dark and we went up the monkey temple. There were 556 steps. The sun rise was coming up at the top. There were loads of monkeys that’s why it’s called Monkey Temple. First of all they tried to get the camera, because they thought there was something inside for them. After that when we were going back I was really hungry and dad gave me a packet of crisps, the monkey snatched them off me and scratched my back. On the way back we saw an enormous millipede that was bigger than my hand.

Groovy monkeys!

Millipedes are pretty big here!
The next day we went to a temple which was under water once. The whole temple was a musical instrument. We went downstairs and saw thousands of bats. They were all hanging on to the rock ceiling. It was pitch dark and when I put my hand in the sunlight my face lit up.

I am a ghost!!
