Hampi was a nice colourful place where you could relax and enjoy. The first time we went to have dinner there we went to a hotel and it was funny because inside they had a mattress on the floor with pillows by the wall and had a plank of wood propped up as a table with coke and 7 up crates. It was epic and super comfy but the down side of it was there was LOTS of mosquitos and when we looked up at the lights there were dozens of cockroaches! But apart from that and the amount of people who smoke there, everything was fine!
The next day we went to a temple and in the middle of the pit was a chariot where newly wedded couples sat in it and the wheels started but the chariot itself didn’t move! And the reason that everyone was vegetarian was because if one of their relatives or friends had died they believed that they rose but turned into a different animal so that’s why Hindus never kill any living creature.

That’s a big chariot compared to an elephant!
On the last day we were there we went down to the river, surprised to find out that the water was too high for the motor boat to cross to the other side (we are staying on a complete island surrounded by water), so we had to cross on a coracle which was pretty difficult. When we got to the other side I bought a belt for 50 rupees (50p) and a beautiful bag for 250 rupees (£2.50) which is SUPER cheap!!!

That’s a tight fit!
Then I ordered a watermelon juice and that was the best of all!!!
Next we went to the mountains which is a complete different story and blog!

How are you doing, monkey?!
